To that end, Materia has developed an extensive intellectual property portfolio, which includes over 350 issued and pending patents (worldwide) covering not only catalyst composition and manufacture, but also methods of using the technology to perform a wide variety of transformations and compositions of certain products. Because Materia has exclusive rights to this extensive patent portfolio, the Company is uniquely positioned to benefit upon the commercialization of a product utilizing the technology.

The company’s proprietary catalyst technology serves as the foundation for a broad-based and rapidly growing commercial enterprise. Revenues are currently derived from the sale of proprietary catalysts, the sale of manufactured products enabled by these catalysts, and the licensing of intellectual property. Materia also generates revenue from industrial collaborations, a fee-for-service business in which Materia assists other companies in identifying and developing new products based on its technology.
